From black and white, to pops of colors, Yok's Solo Exhibition this year showcases new paintings filled with a kaleidoscope of colors. The series of paintings in this collection shows a cataclysmic event in Yok's paintings that's caused by the infamous flower present in all, if not most, of his paintings. The forbidden flower represents temptation present in the world that we as humans are vulnerable to, just as the characters in the paintings gave into the forbidden flower and its effect. This just goes to show that we as humans also have our tendencies to give in to our own forbidden flowers.
